Launch your students at Careers Expo 2018, with the first VET Expo.

From 17–20 May, WA's only complete careers expo will expand to include even more inspiration on vocational education and training.

Alongside the usual huge array of WA tertiary colleges and universities, and institutions from across the country, you’ll find a dedicated exhibition of VET providers – from bricklaying to drone operating, hairdressing to multimedia design, flight school to personal training.

Careers Expo 2018 and VET Expo 2018 will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre - and entry is free.

This is the motivation your students need. Over four days, nearly 100 exhibitors – universities, TAFEs, government departments, training providers and employers – will present a diverse range of career and employment pathways.

Two days have been set aside specifically for student groups. We’ll make bus access safe and easy via loading dock entry into the rear of the Pavilion 5. (Buses cannot park at the venue - for more details, visit Bus instructions below.)

This event is best suited to Years 9 to 12, so please pass this information on to the appropriate coordinators.

See you at Careers Expo 2018!

Teacher resources

Here for download and printing are the important documents that you may need ahead of bringing your school group to the Careers Expo:
Each of the two versions of the Student Workbooks contains a different set of questions that your students can answer as they explore the expo. We can also provide teachers' answer sheets to assist in marking the students' work. Request your copies by emailing careers@exibit.com.au.

Promotional materials

We encourage you to promote the Careers Expo to students via your in-house newsletters and bulletins. You may access the relevant artwork files here.

The pdf files may be printed and displayed as A4 or A5 flyers, or alternatively attached to emails.

The jpg versions may be embedded into newsletters.

If you encounter difficulties when attempting to download these files, please contact us at careers@exibit.com.au and we’ll email the files to you.

Venue access

If you’re using public transport or walking, you may enter the PCEC via the either the Plaza level (opposite the Adina Apartment Hotel) or Level 1 (opposite the Elizabeth Quay Bus Station).

If you’re using your school's own bus or a charter bus, it’s important that you use the loading docks at the rear (south) of the PCEC – a far safer and controllable environment. See Bus instructions below.

Bus instructions

If you have arranged to travel to PCEC by your own school or chartered bus, please be aware that it will not be possible to park the bus at the venue. However, we have made special arrangements for buses to drop-off and pick-up students from Pavilion 5 via the loading dock.

To access Pavilion 5, your bus must enter the loading ramp system, via the boom gate entry at the western end of the PCEC. The loading ramp is accessed from the left-most lane of what is otherwise the entry to Mitchell Freeway North. To access the ramp you must use one of the following approaches:
  • Travel south down Spring St and then cross over Mounts Bay Rd;
  • Travel east along Mounts Bay Rd and turn right at the Spring St intersection; or
  • Travel west along Mounts Bay Rd and turn left at the Spring St intersection.
Once on the loading ramp your bus should stop outside the Pavilion 5 loading dock door and you will be met by an Exibit staff member who will direct you into the pavilion. After students have disembarked, the bus driver will be asked to take the bus away from the PCEC. The exit route is onto Riverside Drive.
